Legal Aid Society of Westchester County Training Center and Moot Courtroom
The Legal Aid Society of Westchester County (LASW) announces the opening of its Training Center and Moot Court Room.
The Training Center and Moot Court Room provides for the continuing legal education of LASW attorneys and other organizations training attorneys on trial advocacy, and the theoretical and practical components of the practice of law.
The Training Center houses a reception area, kitchen and lounge, two conference/breakout rooms, two offices, a moot courtroom (see below), and "The Closet." The Closet will provide options for individuals needing clothing for court appearances, and recently incarcerated individuals reentering society and the workforce. In addition, the Training Center will also feature artwork created by current and formerly incarcerated individuals.
